Ah! My leg!

For no reason my leg just started hurting. It's really bad. I didn't do anything to it, so I don't know what's wrong. Hopefully it'll get better soon.

Yesterday my little brother Eddie gave me this compass, only it's not just a compass. It's also a ring. It's pretty cool. My brother is so nice to me. I feel bad for picking on him all the time.

Did you read the tracklisting for the new Panic! CD? They sure came up with some weird song titles this time. I really want to hear some new songs from them (besides "Nine In The Afternoon", which I've heard a few times).

Since my mom told me no about going to this year's Honda Civic Tour, I'm trying to get her to let me go to the Warped Tour this year. She keeps saying no to that too. UGH!

Eh, I think I'll go listen to The Academy Is... now. I've had an unsatiable appetite for their music lately. It's like heaven in my ears. Only not really. It is really good though.

'Til next time(which will hopefully be soon 'cause I need to update this thing more often)

Damn Ohio

I hate you.
Now that I have that off my chest, I shall move on.
Due to the freezing temperatures outside and the horrid wind, I have spent the last few days inside. Most of that time was spent watching older movies and some of my favorite t.v. shows that were cancelled a long time ago, but are now playing again.
I also started writing some things and I did a lot of phiosophizing and thinking. I mostly thought about the color combination that I'm going to use when restoring my 1962 Ford Falcon (I was thinking light blue and a metallic silver.) It'll be the sharpest looking car you've ever seen.
And, due to boredom, I have also taken up drawing again. Mostly people. My favorite person to draw would be a tie between Shawn Harris from The Matches and Justin Pierre from Motion City Soundtrack. They are both interesting people to look at and draw.
I've got to get back to reading poems for lit. class now.

Keep It Simple, Now

Christmas is now only a week away and I'd have to say that I'm rather excited about it, to tell the truth.
Chyeah.
I haven't done anything productive at all today.
I did dress my dog up as a gangsta and took lots of pictures of him though.
I have no life.

Top 10 Albums of 2007

Okay, so the oter day I bought some mega-sweet white moonboots and today I saw High Fidelity for the first time. But that's besides my point. Let's move on to the Top 10 Albums of 2007.

Here they are:
1. In Defense of the Genre by Say Anything
This CD blew my mind. It is a beautiful piece of art and one of the best things I've heard in a long time.

2.Infinity on High by Fall Out Boy
I don't care if I get made fun of for liking this one. It's a damn great album and it really showed how much better Fall Out Boy has gotten.

3.Bone Palace Ballet by Chiodos
No one can blow my mind like Craig Owens.

4.¡Viva La Cobra! by Cobra Starship
This CD totally owns. I like Cobra better than Midtown.

5.Santi by The Academy Is...
I expected this CD to suck, but I was wrong.

6.Riot! by Paramore
Hayley has an amazing voice and the songs are pretty damn good.

7.The Kicks of Passion by Powerspace
This record is the best debut of all time. These guys are bringing the 80s back.

8.Direction by The Starting Line
I'm a sucker for anything that Kenny Vasoli does.

9.Do You Feel by The Rocket Summer
Bryce Avary is gonna be the next Prince. I just hope he doesn't go all weird and change his name to an unpronounceable symbol or something.

10.So Wrong, It's Right by All Time Low
This is just some awesome pop-punk.

I've got an empty wallet and a record cover

Dear Music Scene,

First off, this is not to the bands. They have nothing to do with what I am going to be talking about (at least, most of them don't). This letter is to the greedy corporate fucks (some labelheads and music store owners) that are only in this buisiness for the money. Now that we have that covered, let's move on.

The music scene is pretty much in ruins right now. Everyone (except you corporate fucks) are doing horribly. Bands aren't selling discs, record prices are going up(more on that later) and it's getting harder to find the records I want in the store.  Why is this happening? It's because the corporate fucks are being greedy and want to leech everything off of the scene before throwing it away like last week's trash.

Most of you label people are a bunch of fuck heads. All you want is to make more money. How do you do that? You sign a bunch of shitty, flavor of the week bands and you shove them down our throats. We do not want to hear another Fall Out Boy rip off or another My Chemical Romance copycat. Please sign some bands that are original and have some talent. Can you get off of your fat asses and dig a little to find some bands actually worth listening to? Is that asking too much?

See, I don't really mind hearing bands that sound like some of my favorites. The problem is that you (record labels and record stores) charge an insane amount of money for their CDs. I'm not made of money. While I support the dying art of the CD, I can't spend $20 on one when I have treats to buy for my dog and Christmas presents to get for my family.

And don't you go and say that Internet downloading is killing the CD industry. While it might be damaging it, the CD market is still alive and well. Mainly to people like me who would rather have a collection of CDs sitting on their shelf than a bunch of compressed zeroes and ones stuck inside a computer.

So I bet,  Mr.Record Label Man, you're wondering how to fix things. Here's my suggestions to you:

-Sign some bands with talent! If you have original decent bands, people will buy more CDs! We are sick and tired of hearing the same crap regurgitated over and over again.

-Lower CD prices! Maybe if you'd lower CD prices and/or go back to mailordering (and no, I'm not talking about Internet ordering. I'm talking about real mailordering), you'd have a lot more people to buy your bands' records. I myself will buy a lot from a record company if they still do mailorders.

-Get a brain! Maybe the music scene wouldn't be in this state if you dumbheads had a brain to begin with.

I know that this is probably just a waste of  my time, but I feel that it's worth saying. My heart aches when I see how bad the music scene has become. But, unfortunately, I feel that we are already too late. But if the scene is going out, I'll help it go out in style.

Yours Truly,
Marie Kwiecien

I may be ugly, but they sure love to stare

I went to Hot Topic  yesterday but didn't buy anything.
Why?
Cause there were no cute emo guys working there.
I <3 emo boys.
I did go to Best Buy though and bought the first Cobra Starship record and I bought the debut from We The Kings.
I love Gabe Saporta
+Jesse Lacey.

What I want for Christmas

Alright, so I've decided what I want for Christmas.
I want:
-Alex Gaskarth
-a lion
-Pete Wetz
-pixie stix
-a new puppy

I told my mom that and she told me to get serious.
So I came up with anothe rlist that includes books, CDs, a Say Anything shirt and a Chiodos hoodie.
I've wanted a Chiodos hoodie forever.

Ohio=Horrible

I freaking hate Ohio. I wish I could live somewhere else.
I'm almost embarassed to say I live here.
No tours ever come here, there's too many metal bands,  the weather sucks, there's too many hicks where I live and I hate Dennis Kucinich(sp?)
At least Ohio is home to Hit The Lights, Alternative Press and  Hawthorne Heights.
So, it's not as horrible as it could be.
I just hope we don't get any snow for a while.

I'm the new kid on the block.

So, yeah. My name is Marie and I'm new to this Live  Journal thing.
I'm very friendly even though I can get conceited at times.
I'm a dork who hasa huge love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I love writing stories and I'm extremely proud of all of them.
I like pop-punk, Alex Gaskarth, musicals, Fred Astaire, orange soda and pixie stix.
I was so happy when House fired Cutthroat Bitch. That made my day.
